Redeemer Lutheran’s “TEAM 1” will be providing the meal Monday, September 8. The meal is served from 5 - 6:30 p.m. The team could use your help in any way by preparing, serving, cleaning, or making a dessert. Please let the office know if you would like to help.
If you're retirement age and like snacks, games, and fellowship, join us for the fun of it in Quoss Hall this Friday, August 14 beginning at 6 p.m for a potluck, followed by your favorite game (or cards) brought from home.
New music has arrived for all of the special events this fall, and you will want to be part of this exciting ministry. Rehearsals will begin on Wednesday, August 19 at 7:00 p.m., immediately following the church council meeting. For all the current members, we trust that you have had a restful time through the summer and are primed and ready to give it your all.
If you like to sing and have not been involved in the past or had to drop out temporarily, now is the time to start anew. The Lord has given us the command to "sing praise to God," and that is our joy and delight. Reading music is not a requirement, just come, and others will help you learn the parts. Contact Pastor if you have any questions.
WE NEED YOU! - Please sign up today on the narthex bulletin to take a shift at Redeemer Lutheran's booth at the Rogers County Fair on September 17-19. You will be asked to provide a welcoming and inviting smile to those who come by our booth. It is not difficult, but we need a good number of willing volunteers!
LADIES - A copy of the year's programs for our LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) has been placed in every woman's mail box. You are warmly invited to join in our activities - either at a morning or evening meeting or special event! Helping our church as well as world missions bring joy to the soul as we "serve the Lord with gladness'! LWML officers.
RALLY DAY CELEBRATION
Our annual Rally Day celebration will be held this year on Sunday, August 30. The celebration begins with our Rally Day worship service which focuses on such educational ministries of our congregation as our Sunday school, youth and adult Bible studies, small group Bible studies, and confirmation instruction. In the service those who minister in Christian education will be dedicated and recognized for their service. (Fall Sunday school classes begin on Sunday, September 6.)
Following the worship service there will be a potluck picnic. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream will be provided so that families who attend simply need to bring a large dish to share for the picnic. We try to have games for everyone to enjoy. Everyone is encouraged to plan to attend the celebration! Those with last names from “Gr” through “Q” are asked to plan to provide the kitchen clean-up following the dinner.
SACRED MUSIC OF THE WORLD - You can listen to the best of the Church's music 24/7 at www.lutheranpublicradio.org. You can also listen on mobile devices like an iPhone, iPad and an Android phone. Check it out!
