ADULT BRAILLE MINISTRY: Once a month (2nd Tuesday), a dedicated group of Redeemer members travel to Tulsa to assemble Braille books for the blind. The group travels to Tulsa for their monthly work project this Tuesday, October 14 at 9:00 a.m. They would welcome others who are interested in this worthwhile mission. They usually car pool to help with the driving expense. Contact Lorna or Martin if you have questions and wish to be included.
“THE GREAT DECEIVER” is the title of a NEW Sunday morning adult and youth video-based Bible study on SATAN which continues Sunday, at 9 a.m. If you used to come – COME BACK! If you haven’t come – COME! If you are already coming – INVITE OR BRING SOMEONE ELSE! Sunday Morning Café treats are available at 8:30 a.m.
THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN BUILDING COMMITTEE has two meetings this week on Tuesday, October 21 at 6 p.m. and Thursday, October 23 at 6 p.m. with two of the three architects chosen as finalists for consideration for providing a "master plan" for Redeemer Lutheran facilities in preparation for a building project. It is important for all members of the building committee to be present for these meetings.
THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH COUNCIL will meet this Wednesday, October 22 at 6 p.m. All officers and board chairpersons should attend or send a substitute or a written report. Any member is welcome.
MEN’S MORNING – will be held this Saturday, October 25 with breakfast at 8 a.m. and Bible study following. Work projects may follow for any who can stay. Invite others to come!
THE SANCTUARY COMMITTEE - will meet on this Saturday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m.
REFORMATION VESPERS - You are invited to this special combined Lutheran service on next Sunday, October 26 at 5 p.m. (with a pre-service organ recital at 4:45 p.m.) at Grace Lutheran Church, 2331 E. 5th Place, Tulsa. There will be special music from a combined choir, children's choirs, and brass. A cheese and wine reception will follow.
“TRUNK OR TREAT” – You will be able to participate in this neighborhood outreach activity by backing your vehicle into a parking place near our 5th and Seminole corner on Friday, October 31 (“All Hallows Eve”) before 6 p.m. and giving out candy to children who come “trick or treating.” Even if you are unable to be here for this fun activity, your contribution of candy for distribution by those who are here would be much appreciated!
DELEGATE IS NEEDED – Redeemer Lutheran will need a lay representative/delegate for the convention of the Oklahoma District of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod to be held in Norman, OK in April, 2015. This person would also attend a Sunday afternoon meeting this December in Tulsa. We need to select Redeemer Lutheran’s delegate at our voters meeting coming up on next Sunday, September 21. If you might be willing serve in this way or would like more information, please talk to Pastor Burger right away!
THRIVENT ANNUAL ELECTION DINNER will be held this Friday, October 24 at Kountry Kitchen at 5159 W. 580 Road in Chouteau at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Pat Suter at 918-379-0850. Today is the final day to make a reservation.
