OUR CONGREGATION NOW OFFERS DURING-THE-WEEK E-MAIL “ENCOURAGEMENTS” FOR LIVING THE CHRISTIAN LIFE – Many have already submitted their response to this offer.  If you haven’t, please get the simple pink form from Pastor Burger and submit it in the offering plate or through the church office.

COMING UP ON SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28  is our annual “Friend and Old Time Sunday.”  What this means is that each of us should be inviting a friend to come worship with us on that day.  To add to the fun and celebration, we urge all members and friends to bring their “classic” cars, trucks, or whatever to display in the east parking lot following the service.  On top of all that, the Board of Evangelism will have root beer floats available for everyone.  Invite a friend!  Don’t miss this!

A HUGE THANK YOU  to all who so generously gave of their time and talent to prepare for, and work at, our booth at the Rogers County fair this last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. May God bless these evangelistic efforts with many new faces at upcoming worship services.

OUR FOOD PANTRY - While we truly appreciate all your generous support, our pantry is currently very low. Our needs include cereals, crackers, peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna, canned meat, canned corn, canned beans, canned tomatoes, canned mixed vegetables, pasta sides, rice sides, corn bread mixes, canned soup, instant potatoes, pinto beans and canned fruit.

CONGREGATIONAL POTLUCK AND THIRD QUARTER VOTERS' MEETING  is for all members and will be held following worship Sunday, September 21.  All members are asked to please make note of it and plan to attend.  Those in Randy Weierbach’s and Tom Stanley’s elder zones (last names from “I” to “N”) are asked to provide the kitchen clean-up following the dinner.

ADULT BRAILLE MINISTRY:  Once a month (2nd Tuesday), a dedicated group of Redeemer members travel to Tulsa to assemble Braille books for the blind. They would welcome others who are interested in this worthwhile mission.  They usually car pool to help with the driving expense.  Contact Lorna or Martin if you have questions and wish to be included.

THE BOARD OF EVANGELISM – is scheduled to meet in Quoss Hall on Monday, September 15 at 7 p.m.  Since we are all called to reach out, everyone is encouraged to attend this meeting!

MANY THANKS!!  to Ben Colvin and his crew of two for taking down, cutting up, and clearing away the four dead trees in our east parking lot!!  Thanks also to the men of Men’s Morning who helped pick up the brush to clean up the parking area.  Thanks also to Fran Heiman for replacing the kitchen faucet in the “brown house” recently!

“THE GREAT DECEIVER”  is the title of a NEW Sunday morning adult and youth video-based Bible study on SATAN which will have its second session next Sunday, September 21 at 9 a.m.  If you used to come – COME BACK!  If you haven’t come – COME!  If you are already coming – INVITE OR BRING SOMEONE ELSE!  Sunday Morning Café treats are available at 8:30 a.m.

CONGREGATIONAL POTLUCK DINNER AND VOTERS MEETING – The third regular quarterly MEETING OF THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN VOTERS will follow a POTLUCK DINNER next Sunday, September 21.  Everyone is welcome for the potluck, and all members are urged to attend the meeting. Those in Randy Weierbach’s and Tom Stanley’s elder zones (last names from “I” to “N”) are asked to provide the kitchen clean-up following the dinner.

DELEGATE TO BE NEEDED – Redeemer Lutheran will need a lay representative/delegate for the convention of the Oklahoma District of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod to be held in Norman, OK in April, 2015.  This person would also attend a Sunday afternoon meeting this December in Tulsa. We need to select Redeemer Lutheran’s delegate at our voters meeting coming up on next Sunday, September 21.  If you might be willing serve in this way or would like more information, please talk to Pastor Burger right away!
