Whats in a Name
The Lutheran Hour

Dave Anderson and Roger Walck are coming to Redeemer Lutheran Church on Friday, October 21 at 7 p.m.  You should come to hear the singing, to hear about the miraculous story of the miracle of Dave and others’ rescue from a plane crash into the Bering Sea, to hear about Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat in Arizona which ministers to church workers in crisis, and to have some fellowship and treats after the concert.

Redeemer Lutheran will again this year sponsor this fun event for kids of all ages on October 31 at 6:00 p.m.  As has been done in the past, we come and park cars in the parking spaces along 5th Street and Seminole Avenue with trunks open.  We distribute candy and a handout with a Bible message to the neighborhood children.  We hope you will join us this year!  Contributions of bags of candy are welcome.  There will be a collection tub in the narthex.

This  will be held following worship on Sunday. November 20.   All members are urged to attend. The 2017 slate of officers will be announced.

This activity is usually held on the 4th Saturday of the month.  It will resume October 24 with breakfast at 8 a.m. and Bible study following.  Bring your Bible and invite a friend!

If you're retirement age and like snacks, games, and fellowship, join us for the fun of it in Quoss Hall on the 2nd Friday of the month beginning at 6 p.m for a potluck, This month will be a little different as we host the youth group in a rousing game of Bunco.  Please bring a snack or potluck item to share.  Come join our merry crew for games  and laughter Friday, September 9, at 6:00 pm in Quoss hall.

If you like to sing and have not been involved in the past or had to drop out temporarily, now is the time to start anew.  The Lord has given us the command to "sing praise to God," and that is our joy and delight.  Reading music is not a requirement, just come, and others will help you learn the parts.  Contact Pastor if you have any questions.
