THE MISSION OFFERING – received during the Sunday school hour or in “Missionary Prayer Pal” gifts to provide military Bible sticks and “Proclaimers” through Faith Comes by Hearing concludes today.  Thanks for your gifts! 

THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN BUILDING COMMITTEE – will meet on this Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in Quoss Hall. 

THE REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH COUNCIL – will meet on this Wednesday, April 23 from 6-7 p.m. in Quoss Hall.

THE THANKFULNESS BIBLE STUDY GROUP – resumes its daytime sessions on this Thursday, April 24 at 1:15 p.m. in Quoss Hall.  “Stuff They Didn’t Teach Me in Sunday” and “Quick and Easy” studies on Lutheran Service Book hymns are our topics.  Each week provides a new study – just come and join us!

THE OKLAHOMA LUTHERAN WOMEN IN MISSION DISTRICT CONVENTION – takes place this Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26, in Oklahoma City. 

MEN’S MORNING – breakfast and Bible study will be held this Saturday, April 26 beginning at 8 a.m.  Bring a Bible and a friend!

WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES - will be held on Saturday, April 26th beginning at 11:00 a.m.  This annual event sponsored by Safenet is to give Rogers County residents the opportunity to join other across the nation to bring awareness to domestic violence and sexual abuse. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. or you can preregister by calling 918-341-1424 and to get more information.

MR. BRUCE GLOVER, A REPRESENTATIVE FROM DAKOTA BOYS AND GIRLS RANCH – will be with us here at Redeemer Lutheran on next Sunday, April 27.  His main presentation will be made during the Sunday school hour at 9 a.m.  Please plan to be here for this presentation!

FOR OUR CHILDREN, THE MOST IMPORTANT HOUR – of Sunday and the whole week is the one that begins on Sundays at 9 a.m.  Our dedicated Sunday school staff is ready to share God’s word with children during that time.  On next Sunday, April 27, the topic will be the empty tomb (John 20).  We need more children here for this most important hour on Sundays!

EVENING LWML - meets in the fellowship hall on Monday, April 28th at 6:30 p.m. The program will duplicate that of the daytime meeting held on April 17th.

RETIRE WISELY - a free dinner and seminar presented by the Thrivent Financial representatives on Tuesday, April 29th here at Redeemer Lutheran.  Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. followed by the presentation.  Everyone is welcome.  Make your reservations by calling Tim Veldstra or Bob Morganthaler at 918-392-7130 or e-mail to

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER – This annual observance, sponsored by the Claremore Ministerial Alliance, will be held at noon on Thursday, May 1 at the Ne-Mar Shopping Center (at Memorial Heights Baptist Church on Will Rogers Boulevard in case of inclement weather).  There will be prayers on a range of vital matters, Scripture readings, and music.  Come for this time of prayer on behalf of our community and nation!

CAMP LUTHERHOMA – The camping season is coming!  Camp sessions run from June 3 through July.  There are a variety of sessions available for children age 6 through college aged young people.  We encourage everyone who can to take advantage of the fun and spiritual growth that happens at camp!  Redeemer Lutheran will have “campership” assistance for members who register and apply for this assistance by May 7.  Speak to Pastor Burger or Kim Cobb, Board of Education chairperson.  Full registration information and forms can be gotten at  Let us know in the church office if we can help.

THE MITE OFFERING – received on Sunday, April 6 in worship totaled $126.15.  Thanks to those who contributed!  Our next “Mite Sunday” will be on Sunday, June 1.  Put aside your pocket change or ask for a “mite box.”

BOARD OF TRUSTEES - is requesting the return of the missing attachments for our congregation’s shop vacuum. Considering the potential cost to replace it, and the fact that it is a relatively new vacuum, we would truly appreciate anyone with any information to contact Don DeBolt.

“TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME” - on Saturday, May 10th, Thrivent members and a guest are invited to the ORU baseball game at their stadium.  For $5.00 each, you get lunch and a ticket to the game.  Your admission of $5.00 is due by May 1st and is non-refundable after that date.  See Sharon Thomas to make your reservation and pay your admission.

FRESH EGGS - are available on a first-come-first-served basis in the refrigerator near the library.  There is a box there in the refrigerator in which to leave a payment for them.
